Internet Fraud of the Week - portfolio.com - 06 Jun 2008

Internet phishers are flooding email in-boxes with a particularly cheeky piece of spam.
The bogus email purports to come from a law enforcement agency created to fight Internet fraud, and uses as its lure a false promise to reimburse recipients for an earlier instance of being ripped off by — wait for it — spam. All the sucker has to do is provide a little personal information...

The F.B.I. warned about the flim-flam today, and advised the public to be wary of any unsolicited email they receive from the Internet Crime Complaint Center.

That agency, by the way, is real: It's a joint operation of the F.B.I., the National White Collar Crime Center, and the Bureau of Justice Assistance.

I'm not following, what does this have to do with Portfolio.com?
