E-mail Id of a Professor of a Profossor teaching Coprorate Law and Governence in Delhi university was hacked by someone few days ago.
Hackers used his MSN Id to send e-mails to his contacts askeing for money claiming he is in trouble.
One of his students got an E-mail from the account stating that he is UK and has lost his wallet containing cash and credit cards and does not have any money to pay the hotel bill. The mail asked her to help him by sending him $ 2400 US and he will re-pay it as early as possible.
A Similar Email was recived by his son who called up his home to find out that the proferssor was very much in Delhi it self.
Professor and his family are scared as his E-mail account contained lot of personal information,, photographs, credit card and bank account statments etc.
As per the professor, he got and email few days back from MSN stating that his account will be closed. He had to furnish some personal information to keep the e-mail account running. Unknowingly and assuming the mail to be from MSN he furnished all the information requested. His e-mail ID was hacked the same day.
